I will update this blog
I swear, someday. Maybe I’ll do a nice, sparkly redesign or something. Something.

Here’s a little taste:

If you find yourself in Fort Greene, Brooklyn this sunday stop by the Brooklyn Flea Market. Ulysses, along with friends Todd Sines and John Selway, will be selling off some of their collections as last minute additions to the “Superstar DJ Record Fair” that the Brooklyn Flea is doing this Sunday. Come by and check it out! There will be a variety of music for sale, including Disco, House, Drum & Bass, and various emphemera. Also, the vendors from the Red Hook Ballfields will be providing food for sale, so it’s sure to be a good time. For those of you who may be concerned about the weather the whole thing is under a tent, so have no fear.

Sorry I haven’t posted much on the site for a while, but as you can see we’ve been a bit busy over here at Scatalogics HQ. Oliver was born at 12:42 am on April 24th. Mother and baby are happy and healthy!
Another week passes and two events have cropped up on my radar. For the people who enjoy a little disco on the weekdays, I’ll be playing at my friend Mike’s new party at Midway. Those as old as I am will remember it’s previous life as “Robots” but that was a long time and two Mayor Guilani terms ago. Still, you can dance if you want to. Stop by and show me what you got. Here’s the flyer:

Now, after that’s all said and done, there’s going to be another Loft Party this weekend. The last one went so well we were asked to come by and do another one before everyone is forced out of the building. It seems there’s only a few short weeks left before everyone has to leave the building for good. Thanksfully, we have some guests stopping off in town on their way to Miami, so it should be a great time for all involved. Be sure to come by, and be prepared to stay late!

Hey Everybody,
Loft party madness is back. It would be great if you could all come and shake a tail feather.
It’s a loft party in Lower Manhattan, inside an old recording studio. There are two rooms. I’ll be DJing along with my friend and partner Holmar Filipsson in one. FM Belfast, an amazing band from Rekyavik Iceland, will also be playing. They are better than peanut butter and jelly together. I swear.

Hey everybody! I’ll be playing at a great party the Friday after Thanksgiving at the super-trendy 205 Club. You still have time to cancel your Thanksgiving plans so you can stay in New York and dance your pants off…
It’s to celebrate the release of FM Belfast’s first (of two) EPs on Thugfucker Records. FM Belfast is an awesome threesome from Rekyavik, Iceland, who just recently signed to Sunday Music, in the UK. It’s two men named Árni, and a lady named Örvar. They also recently contributed vocals on a song on Kasper Bjørke’s new album “In Gumbo” on Plant Records/ Sony BMG. They are sure to become superstars at any moment, and this EP will be their first release. Get in on the ground floor, so you can tell your grandkids “I was there when…” You can check out some more tunes on their MySpace page. Here are the details for Friday night:

It recently occurred to us that we’ve had this site up for a while without any contact info. So if you were lucky enough to stumble across our brilliant and insightful website you would have no way of reaching us, other than commenting at the end of a post. Of course, not many people have done that other than people trying to sell me Viagra and Car Insurance… So, without any further ado, I’ve replaced the contact us section of the site. Isn’t that wonderful?
In the meantime, let me update you on some happenings. Sodium Records 10 and 11 are about to be released this Nov 5th. The first 100 copies are to be bundled with a free CD of both releases, as well, so keep your eyes open for it! Here’s a short sample of the records:
This is a sample tune from the first release of the recently re-launched Sodium Recordings. Jordan Dare is an amazing producer from Montreal, and also a resident at Tiga’s “I Love Neon” Party. This EP is a stomper, I’m sure you’ll be playing each song so much they’ll have to pry your iPod from your cold, dead hands.

Ulysses - Resistance (Tony Rohr Remix)
This is the follow-up EP: three dazzling tracks of minimal funk. The original, by moi, is a Kraftwerking funk party. This is a low-quality MP3 link to Tony Rohr’s remix. I know you’re gonna like it. The third mix is by Nick Chacona and Stefny, and it’s a corker. All three will be available online on Nov 19th, after the vinyl/CD release.
Be sure to check your favorite local record shop and online retailer! You can always buy them here: www.newsdistribution.be
