Come celebrate my birthday with me on a boat. I’ll be turning 537 this July 1st and I want you there with me, on a boat full of booze.

I would recommend buying advance tickets. The boats parties always sell out and we expect this one to be no exception. You can do so at ticketweb.

We’re playing to promote the newest Neurotic Drum Band release on the new New York City-based record label called You Are Hear! (aka “YAH!”). YAH! is a collaborative effort between Holmar, Pete and theAgriculture’s James Healy, who plan to create one-of-a-kind limited vinyl releases, the first of which is by none other than the Neurotic Drum Band! Unfortunately, my other half, John Selway, won’t be able to make it for the show, so I’ll be representing us both. The good news for you is that although you won’t be getting an NDB DJ Set you’ll get an even-rarer Filipsson & Ulysses set, since Holmar is the other half of Filipsson and Ulysses (the Filipsson half, obviously). I believe there will also be a special Dirt Crew DJ set broadcast, as well, so be sure to tune in!

I’ll be selling records this Sunday at the opening weekend of the Hester Street Fair, with my good friend John Selway. Please stop by and help us thin out our record collections. I’m getting rid of some really good stuff this time around, so you won’t want to miss out!

The fair will have more than just records, as well, including food from An Choi and crafts from loads of crafty types. I only really go for music stuff so I’m not terribly interested in all that, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be!

If you want to check out the Fair on Saturday my good friend Cowboy Mark from Kill Devil Hill in Greenpoint will be manning our table. Mark has spent many a day behind the counter at Bleeker Bob’s, so he has an unparalleled knowledge of all things musical. Check out his recent all rockabilly set on Beats In Space recently.

The fair is at the intersection of Hester Street and Essex Street, on the side of the Seward Park houses.

Ulysses and John Selway, aka the “Neurotic Drum Band” will be performing at the New York City version of Poland’s Unsound festival. Joining them will be Jersey boy done good Morgan Geist and a live performance by Blondes.

The fun doesn’t end there, however. You can (and should) check out all the other amazing shows that will be taking place that weekend. There will be performances by legends like Moritz von Oswald (aka Chain Reactions “Maurizio”), Carl Craig and a talk with Morton Subotnick. You can see the whole schedule at the Unsound website.
